About

Hi! I'm Maria.

I'm currently based in Berlin, Germany, where I balance my work as a data scientist with my passion for jewelry making.

I grew up in Nairobi, Kenya, a place that shaped so much of who I am. Surrounded by nature, I developed a deep appreciation for beauty in its most organic form. That connection to the natural world continues to inspire much of my work today.

My jewelry making journey began with a ring I lost many years ago, a gift from my sister that I treasured dearly. After all attempts at trying to find it had failed, I realized one day that what couldn't be found could be made. And so I began taking silversmithing classes while living and working in Amsterdam in 2017.

What started as curiosity quickly turned into a real passion. Jewelry making, for me, is a journey of self discovery, and a way tell stories through form and texture. Each piece I create holds a bit of that journey, and my hope is that it resonates with those who wear it in a meaningful way.

When I'm not working or in my home studio, I'm usually outdoors, hiking, camping or exploring new places. I also love exploring other hobbies whether that's pottery, knitting, sewing (there are usually a few too many at any given time).

Thanks for being here and letting me share this part of my world with you.
